Gifford’s Building Sciences Engineers work closely with many of our other disciplines to ensure we are at the forefront of sustainable design. Alexandra Tower on the front of the river Mersey in Liverpool and Gifford Studios in Southampton are two projects which demonstrate our commitment to sustainable design and the key role our building scientists play in it.

Our Building Scientists come from a variety of backgrounds including mechanical engineering, energy or environmental engineering. You’ll need to be working towards a relevant degree and be hoping to achieve a minimum of a 2:1 or equivalent. An interest in sustainable technologies and their use in construction is essential for these roles.
